ELDEN RING gets patched to fix up anti-cheat on Steam Deck SteamOS

While no doubt many of you are waiting on more news about the upcoming ELDEN RING expansion, this is not it. Instead, a small update has rolled out to improve ELDEN RING on Steam Deck with SteamOS.

The one liner in the update notes: "Easy Anti-Cheat update to support the Steam OS update". They say version 1.10.1 is required now for any online play, so make sure you're up to date. They also confirmed they will "continue to provide improvement updates in the future so you can enjoy ELDEN RING more comfortably".

At least we know From Software continue to see the Steam Deck as an important platform. Not surprising though, they've previously mentioned how happy they were seeing ELDEN RING run on Steam Deck and made sure Armored Core 6 worked as well.

Does that mean that we can use flawlesswidescreen to remove the black bars without getting banned ?

I find it interesting that while some big studio's are eager to support anti-cheat on Steam Deck others keep making excuses that it's too unsafe to do.
