The developer of NonSteamLaunchers got in touch to mention that a Steam Deck (Decky Loader) plugin is now available for testing, plus the latest release pulling in a handy tool for being able to Remote Play Together anything.

For the v3.8.8 release that went out a few days ago they've hooked up RemotePlayWhatever, a tool I hadn't heard of until now. It's a "Tiny application that lets you force remote play together any game you have in your steam library including non-steam ones" which sounds really useful for playing games from other stores on Steam Deck and for emulation too.

On top of that the developer mentioned they have a Decky Loader plugin in development, which is now available for testing. This means you won't have to go into Desktop Mode to install or remove the extra stores like Epic Games, GOG and so on, as long as you have Decky Loader set up and ready. Nice!

They sent along this video demo of it in action:

That walkthrough video looks really smooth.
Hard to beat the cohesive integration in Heroic Games Launcher, especially now that gamepad navigation works better. This is similar to what EmuDeck does. Plus, HG launcher has nice integration with with proton tricks.

Half the video is watching a download progress bar. They could have thrown a dissolve in after a few seconds, and nobody would have been confused.

I have forgotten that Remote Play Together has to be enabled by the developer. So silly such feature isn't available for every game by default. The same way we can enable Proton for every game (does anyone actually have Proton only enabled on supported titles?).
The update doesn't show up in the testing store for me. I also don't see a corresponding deployment in GitHub actions. Are we sure this update is out?
