Palworld is bringing in fun new Pals for you to put to work

By - | Views: 22,332

Pocketpair's absolute smash-hit Early Access game Palworld is set to expanding, with some new Pals being teased that will be coming sometime this Summer.

This is a further tease on what the developer previously announced recently for the big Summer update that will bring in a whole bunch of new content, including a new island and eventually a PvP mode too. Now we're getting our first glimpse at some of what to expect.

We're going to see a frog with a stick, some sort of ostrich, a dog with long ears and a cute little dino-like creature with a silly-looking mushroom on its head. Do any look like Pokemon? That's been an ongoing complaint about Palworld's design since even before release. I don't know but they look fun though.

Not to me...I think it's still within the same theme/style but different enough to not really qualify as look alike. Looks good :)
Apparently, the dopey dinosaur with the mushroom has the special skill of getting lit on fire with a flamethrower.

SteamDB says the 24-hour player peak was ~45K, which is a far cry from the 2M a few months ago. 45K is still a very good amount of people, but methinks this game loses luster pretty quickly. A couple of my friends who got sucked into the hype played it for about two weeks I think.
