Max Caulfield returns in Life is Strange: Double Exposure

By - | Views: 21,709

As someone who really enjoyed the first Life is Strange, this is exciting to me! Life is Strange: Double Exposure returns to Caledon University with Max Caulfield taking centre stage once again.

"Max Caulfield, photographer-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University, discovers her closest new friend Safi dead in the snow. Murdered. To save her, Max tries to Rewind time – a power she’s not used in years… Instead, Max opens the way to a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive and still in danger! Max realizes the killer will soon strike again – in both versions of reality. Only Max can Shift between the two parallel timelines to solve and prevent the same murder."

Oh, that is lovely. I tried playing LiS2, but bounced right off it not far in. A return of the protagonist from the first one is very welcome.

I wonder how they're going to square the diverging endings of the original game. I.e. how and where is Chloe

And they better make it gay af.

Hella cool!
From the store page"Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper "

I just lost all interest myself.

I think that this is why they don't mention her at all. By not doing so they don't have to tackle that question. For those who chose to have her die she is dead. For those who chose to save her they can assume the friendhsip ended or any other excuse. It's a copout but not shocking. The first one wasn't "gay af" so why would the sequel have to be ?

There is still the question how Max's rewind powers would still work if she let Chloe die in the end. If I remember correctly, Chloe's "spirit" (symbolized by the butterfly) was what granted her the power in the first place. Once Max got back in time and chose not to save Chloe, everything you ever did in the game got erased from history, and the rewind power should, at least in theory, have died with Chloem no?

making the little brother the primary antagonist was extremely stupid. and i dont mean he was the big bad guy no the little brother was the cause of alot of the elder brothers problems throughout the game. i also played lis3 and i didnt like 2 or 3. i here before the storm was bad too. so i think the studio is just "going" back to what worked. but dont understand why life is strange 1 was so good. i think they are gonna botch it too

The events of the original LiS made more emotional impact than those of all sequels. It had the best story arc and cast. Really hope Double Exposure can live up to the original.

I completely disagree, LiS2 is a great game. The little brother is not an antagonist. The whole point of the game is that you, the big brother, shape the world views of the little brother. What you tell him and what you have him do throughout the game matters, and plays a big role in the finale, instead of being a binary choice at the very end, like it was in LiS1.

Oh very nice, I will certainly keep this in mind. I could relate much better with her character than with Chloe from the Prequel (or Sequel, don’t remember). So much that I’m embarrassed to say that I only finished the first game in the series.
