In the latest little update to EVERSPACE 2, it's a good one for players on Desktop Linux and Steam Deck, as it includes an important fix.
Players may have noticed missing or broken videos on Linux / Steam Deck with Proton, but thankfully the latest update should have now fully solved this with DX12. On top of that the developers also say they fixed a memory leak when using NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation. In related news, Proton Experimental recently added support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation.

Though it wasn't feasible to do the native Linux version, it's awesome to see they keep Linux through Proton supported.
I haven't touched it in a while either, and it's a great usecase for the MoveMaster!

I wish these engines didn't use some junk video codecs in this day and age. It's good to see that Everspace is trying to fix it, I wonder how exactly.
