Valve also did a small bump to the Proton 10 Beta (version 10.0-1c) that included some extra fixes:

  • Fixed issue where generated libraryfolders.vdf file had garbage memory written to it breaking software relying on it, e.g. mod launchers.
  • Restored behavior that does best-effort Proton prefix upgrades when a unknown prefix version is detected.

How to get it

All you have to do is ensure you've got Proton Experimental installed by searching for it directly in your Steam Library. Then you can (if you need to) swap over the Proton version on a game by game basis. Valve will automatically pick what's best when games go through Deck Verified (which also applies to Desktop Linux).

Now, that's a list. love to see tempest rising crash there... Just minor, but annoying. And the performance problems on my Ryzen 9 with that one.
