I had fond memories of playing tons of Lemmings on the Amiga, and now Craftlings is rekindling my love of it but with a city-building twist. The game currently has a demo available during Steam Next Fest, which worked perfectly on Desktop Linux with the latest Proton 9.0-4.
If you've somehow never played Lemmings the basics are: your little people are always on the move and they're pretty dumb. So they need you to guide them on their path, and stop them walking off a cliff to their death. If you can imagine it's like a mini god-sim, with you watching over your flock. Not only are you ensuring they don't walk into danger, you're also building up a little village across each level towards the end goal.
The first level, for example, has you build across towards a giant angry octopus that destroyed your ship.

An interesting challenge learning how to properly direct your people across the map and back again into the exact places you want them, especially given how stupid they are. And with resource distribution too, there's plenty of uniqueness to it.
It's wonderfully inventive, thoroughly charming and quite relaxing. I can't wait to see more from it. Love the idea.
Do try the demo!
