Another thing – is the selection partial quote mechanism supposed to have returned like the full post quotes or not?

Honestly, I forgot all about it. I'll look into it next week.

It's always sad to see forums shuttering in this day and age - so many forums I have been on over the years have closed down or entered a derelict abandoned status. Glad to see it both being back and being populated by active posters again.

Update: I've added a Forum channel to our [Discord](https://discord.gg/AghnYbMjYg) server that will announce new posts to the Forum :)

Yay! I'm so glad that the forum can come back, even if in limited scope (as in no PMs). I find Discord quite horrible to use, so I'm basically never on it. The UK-OSA did not help make the internet a safer place for me, it just made it even more stressful.

Really pleases me to see you all so happy to see it back. Let's make sure it's actually used 😆

It has been a few days and I'm still feeling uncomfortable about this, because I don't use Discord anymore by long-deliberated choice.

Spoiler, click me
I consider Discord one of the creepiest things that has happened to the internet, because it is a combination of a) useful information being taken from everyone else and putting it in the hand of one company in a basically unsearchable form and at the same b) compared to IRC the omnipresent infinite logging/scrollback of everything that has been said.

It's no different to our existing RSS feed that anyone can use anywhere.
Klaas 16 Jan 2026
I strongly disagree, because contrary to a public RSS feed, it mirrors something into a company-controlled private space.

I've stated before that I was happy that the forum was brought back, but as it stands now, I'm very conflicted and will probably discontinue my usage.
Liam Dawe 16 Jan 2026
Do whatever you wish, I'm just giving people options to stay connected and keep up. Again, the forum has an RSS feed - literally anyone can hook that up and have it posted anywhere.

It's nothing but links to new topics in Discord, a way to bring more people to the Forum. Not the other way around.

Thanks for the great reply :) - I agree. I want to push people to the forum, and simply popping a link to new forum topics in a channel seems like a good way to do it! Which is why I did. I don't know if the Forum channel in Discord will stay long-term, depends how much the Forum is actually used to make sense keeping the channel in the Discord.

But as you said, this is normal stuff, anything can be scraped. And our RSS feed actually makes that even easier. This is really a nothing-burger as they say. It should help bring people to the forum if anything.
