The total mash-up mod Fortress Connected has been announced for a Steam release where the worlds of Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 collide.

If it sounds a bit familiar you might be thinking of Lambda Fortress that's also coming to Steam which GamingOnLinux covered previously. In fact, Fortress Connected is built on top of it and so they're doing a very similar thing. However, Fortress Connected clearly has much bigger goals with more games and modes supported.
