The game takes you to a remote town where unsettling events have left the locals on edge, where a doomsday cult once operated. You need to uncover the mystery by exploring strange locations and talking to interesting characters in order to find out what's really going on here. At the heart of the story is a discourse about news, fake news, conspiracy and truth.

Highlights:

  • Hand-drawn HD artwork and traditional frame-by-frame animation.
  • Simple one-click interface.
  • In-game hint system, hot-spots and fast-travel.
  • Suspenseful and atmospheric soundtrack.
  • Inspired by classic adventures from the 90's.
  • Languages: Fully voiced in English and subtitles in English and German.
  • At least 4-6 hours of varied gameplay.

There's a demo available on Steam with Linux support.

This is the type of game I have generally not paid much attention to most of my gaming life. However, since turning 50 years old, this is exactly the type of game I am beginning to enjoy more. The art, the story and the soundscape sets a mood that you can just sit back on a sofa with a controller and really enjoy. It's a bit like playing a comic or living in a picture book. I recommend a similarly themed game called Unforeseen Incidents, which is Steam Deck verified.
