Blue Archive is an incredibly popular anime gacha RPG from NEXON that has made its way from mobile to Steam, and it works on Linux too.
Quite surprising, since it's another anti-cheat enabled game with Nexon Game Security, but it works completely out of the box with the latest Proton 9.0-4. I went through the whole prologue and there wasn't an issue at all. To be sure I also went through the account linking process, which also worked fine.
Our dedicated anti-cheat page now has it listed.

If you're curious why it has anti-cheat, that's pretty simple. It's a gacha game, one where you spend money to gamble on getting more content. Similar to loot boxes in the basic mechanics of it. The anti-cheat is to protect their revenue for that. These games have proven to be incredibly popular, so even if you're not the target audience — seeing it work out of the box on day 1 on Linux systems is really good to see.
Not just desktop Linux, but it also works just fine on Steam Deck too. There's no controller support, but thanks to Steam Input you can arrange the keybinds however you want and it still feels just fine since the controls are incredibly simple. You're mostly using mouse input and one button and that's it. So right thumbpad and the trigger is pretty much it, no issues.

When you first go into the game, it will ask for your birthday. To clear up some confusion it's in the MMDDYYYY format.
I was so afraid it would have anti-cheat but thank god much like Shadowverse Worlds Beyond and Uma Musume it just works on Linux!
That's very great news. I don't need to work on the Waydroid emulator setup anymore. I can just play the game. I hope other gacha games launching on Steam follows this. I know a LOT of people are worried about their favorite gacha games on Linux, and a main blocker of their transition to Linux.
