Heroic Games Launcher 2.18 adds GE-Proton prioritisation, improved UI navigation and new analytics

A smaller update to the Heroic Games Launcher for running games from Epic, GOG and Amazon on Linux / SteamOS and Steam Deck arrived with v2.18.0.

Included with this release along with several improvements is their new opt-in analytics system. It uses Plausible Analytics, which is open source and privacy focused where "All data is 100% anonymous and it serves only to have an idea of the number of users across the different operating systems we support" so they know where to focus for updates.

The main changes:

[Linux] Prioritize GE-Proton Versions and adds a setting to show/hide non-GE version on Wine List.

[UX] Several improvements to Joystick and Keyboard navigation.

[UX] Adds a new option to launch games with or without logs from the game page.

[macOS] Adds Wine-Staging back to Wine Manager and Fix an issue with picking up the wrong wine binary when using GPTK.

[General] Adds Opt-in Anonymous analytics.

Several other fixes and improvements.

There is JunkStore that integrates with the SteamDeck UI.
You think the "create shortcuts" option isn't good enough for Heroic?

The create shortcut link works but needs working OSK which it doesn't under Plasma, fortunately my ALLY has this backup on-screen-keyboard system but its far from perfect.

Additionally it requires dropping to Desktop mode which I think shouldn't be needed. With a Decky plugin it could remote control the app through the plugin all without exiting the steamdecks UI.

I looked at JunkStore but I don't think it had many other store options there. I want more then just EPIC store access.

Junkstore allows gog stor access too, but it's blocked behind a paywall on their patreon, which is why i've given up on using it. Same as always, i am down to contribute to projects i love, but not to have features blocked behind a full on paywall as if it were dlcs.
