NonSteamLaunchers adds real-time Steam shortcuts and teases upcoming Steam integration

NonSteamLaunchers is a tool you can use on Linux / SteamOS to automatically set up various third-party stores. A new release brings new tricks.

The app works with Epic Games, GOG, EA, Amazon, Battle.net and lots of others. It uses GE-Proton to install the Windows version of all the apps you pick and then adds it to Steam for you to easily launch (useful for SteamOS / Steam Deck).

NonSteamLaunchers v4.2.2 is out now adding real-time shortcuts, so you no longer need to reload Steam to have things actually show up. The developer has also teased that proper Steam integration is coming in Desktop Mode with this image:

It's useful but it does bundle everything into one single Proton prefix, which could cause issues but should mostly work fine.
