Fans of classic point and click adventures will want to check out Broken Relic, a fully voiced fantasy comedy adventure from a solo developer. It's a passion project from Pablo Morales, also known as Sandpenguin, a professional game designer currently at King (previously Ubisoft and Rebellion).
More about it:
You play as Tim, an overeager library intern who breaks an age-old wax seal and frees Kaelvorn, the Cursed Devourer. Armed only with wit and questionable advice from his mentor, Tim must:
- Explore ruined coliseums, forgotten cathedrals and an underworld ruled by creepy monsters.
- Reunite three shattered shards of a legendary seal, the only thing able to bind Kaelvorn once more!
- And basically save the world.

Currently, the Native Linux demo is only on itch.io. It's crowdfunding on Kickstarter where they're hoping to raise at least £10,000 and they have until October 9th to hit the initial goal to release in 2026.

While I love this genre, I will hold off for now. Too many times I've been burnt by Kickstarter PC games.
I'm still at 100% success with my point-and-click list.
Did some games of the genre fail for you?

Same, although not all turned out as good as I thought they were going to be.

Not point-and-click, actually, but a few other games I backed. I might reconsider this, then.
