Valve released another small Beta update for Desktop PCs, SteamOS and Steam Deck for the Steam Client to fix up some more annoying problems.

For Desktop here's the changes:

Accessibility

  • Improved High Contrast view of game list search and app filter panel

Game Recording

  • Improved performance when recording is on for some games using Vulkan rendering

Linux

  • Fixed a crash when DualSense controllers are connected and idle.

The Steam Deck / SteamOS update also just noted the DualSense fix, since it's a Linux issue. Nice to see that solved.

It's currently in Beta / Preview so you need to opt into receiving it before it rolls out into the Stable channel for all Steam users. Another recent Beta update also put Windows 10 32bit on notice, as Valve will be removing 32bit support for Windows soon. Hopefully at some point we may also eventually see a 64 bit client for Linux too.
