You have to try the demo for Berserker's Domain if you love boomer shooters

Berserker's Domain seems like it's going to rock when it's released! A shooter inspired by Quake, Doom, ULTRAKILL, and Blood with a roguelike twist. The developer just recently put up a demo (works with Proton) and it's a bloody good time.

With some smooth fast-paced action and fun level design, along with the variety of upgrades and the roguelike loop to it with you picking your path — it has a fun blend and I think you're going to enjoy this one. I can definitely see the inspiration between ULTRAKILL and Doom on this one, not that it's a bad thing, it wears it with clear pride.

Highlights from Steam:

  • Run, dash, and double-jump around the battlefield at break-neck speed, tearing through swarms of cultists, demons, monsters, soldiers, sorcerers, and demigods.
  • Wield a brutal arsenal of nasty-ass weapons, each with a bunch of nonsense upgrades.
  • Unlock ultimate "synergy upgrades" that combine bonuses from different weapons. Want a Dynamite that explodes into shotgun pellets? Sure, why not.

Press the Play button and you're shooting stuff in 5 seconds.

  • No menus, no waiting for load screens, no tutorials. Just run the game and have fun.
  • Each death starts a new, randomized run with fresh maps, weapons, upgrades, and enemies. No two runs are ever the same.
