A short delay but hopefully the 1.0 release will be worth it for Necesse, which is a really interesting blend of genres and great for co-op play. Previously they set a date of October 9th, but they've now moved the release to October 16th.

More about it: Build, quest, and conquer across an infinite, procedurally generated world. Necesse is a top-down sandbox action-adventure game, with settlements to establish and dungeons to explore. Play alone or with friends and fight monsters and bosses, mine rare ores, craft magical equipment, build an army, recruit specialists for your colony, and more. It has Native Linux support and is Steam Deck Verified by Valve.

1.0 brings with it a host of massive new major features, including:

  • An infinite seamless game world (instead of island based gameplay).
  • Settler interactions, listen to them talk about love, life and burgers?
  • Over 300 new sound effects.
  • New and reworked armour sets.
  • Expanded endgame and final boss.
  • Nearly 100 community submitted builds added to the world generation.
  • Balances and tweaks across the game.

The original 1.0 trailer is below just keep in mind the new date:
