Proton Experimental brings fixes for Fellowship, Marvel Rivals, Assassin's Creed Shadows and more

Valve have released another great update for Proton Experimental to play more Windows games on Linux / SteamOS + Steam Deck for October 24th.

How to get it: this will show up as an update in your Steam Downloads if you already have it installed. You can also select to install it from your Steam Library to set on games individually, or it will install automatically if Valve have it set on a game by default. Noted to be now playable with the update:

  • Quantum Threshold.
  • REACH.
  • Fellowship.
  • AQUARIUM.
  • 懒人修仙传2.
  • Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed haptics support for DualSense controllers which should now work in most games that support it.
  • Fixed Marvel Rivals crashing in benchmark with AMD GPUs.
  • Fixed Assassin's Creed Shadows and Wild Assault incorrectly warning about being installed on a HDD.
  • Fixed Sword of the Stars: The Pit crashing when clicking an enemy.
  • Fixed a crash in Marvin's Mittens after the cutscenes.
  • Fixed Lemma randomly crashing.

Fixed Proton 10 regressions:

  • Camera panning should work as expected in Dungeons & Dragons Online.

Fixed Proton Experimental regressions:

  • Batman: Arkham City GOTY should display the splash screen correctly again.

Other improvements:

  • Improved support for Sony controllers in Tekken 8.
  • Updated Wine Mono to 10.3.0.
