As Ubisoft said it would be when they announced it recently, Valve have given The Crew Motorfest the green tick of Steam Deck approval. This new status comes along with the Season 8 update which is now available, after an extended server downtime delay earlier today.
The BattleEye anti-cheat was already enabled as listed on our anti-cheat page, they've just made some improvements to get it up to the green tick. What changes did they make? Your guess is as good as mine, their patch notes don't actually mention anything to do with it. I sure do love it when developer say they make improvements but don't say what.

Valve's compatibility notice mentions how it always needs an internet connection. Apart from that, everything else is green ticked. Valve have it set to Proton Experimental by default.

Nice to see a bigger publisher like Ubisoft make the effort where many developers still don't, now we just need them to do the same with The Crew 2.

Oh, [https://www.stopkillinggames.com/](right).
I wonder why AAA companies stopped having demos like most indies.
Well, you could always buy a copy, play it for a bit, and get a refund. That being said, I expect the reason is something like 'demos don't provide enough of a boost in sales to be worth the cost'.
