Over a decade after being originally released for mobile and amassing lots of happy players, EvoCreo has arrived on PC with Linux support. Who needs Pokemon eh?

You get to go adventuring through the many biomes of Zenith to catch, collect and train a party of mysterious creatures known as Creo. Battle other "Evokers" with tactical strategies going beyond elemental types; gain the advantage with Creo traits, abilities, status effects and move cooldowns. Raise Creo for battle, investigate the evil Shadow Hive organization, and reunite a family on a journey that "builds upon beloved genre greats".

They say it offers up about 30 hours of single-player offline play, with an online battle mode coming sometime after launch. Compared with the mobile version they've stuck the DLC into the base game, and items that were micro-transactions are just items you purchase from vendors in the game with game monies. The camera is also zoomed out on the overworld, and the walking speed was sped-up. There's only "partial" controller support though.

From the press release: “As a monster-taming fan myself, I wanted to add the features I always dreamed of with EvoCreo, and it resonated beyond my expectations,” said Ebrahim Behbahani, Founder at Ilmfinity. “I look forward to seeing players on a whole new platform get the chance to explore the world of Zenith!”

Hopefully the PC release is a success for the developer, nice to see direct Linux support too.

It's priced at £8.50 / $9.99.
