Insider Trading is a roguelike deckbuilder where you bend the market to your will. Stack synergies, trigger price swings, and trade wisely or your own momentum might bankrupt you.
Created by solo developer Naiive it was released in full on February 18th, with Native Linux support built using Godot and a demo is available. There's a whole lot of deck-builders and roguelikes out there, as they're clearly some favourite genres of indie developers but this looks nice and different. Instead of battling creatures or people, you're trading to make it big.
The developer explains - "In Insider Trading, stakes escalate fast. Small trades can quickly snowball into compounding gains that feel unstoppable until the market flips and everything crashes. Each run starts with a character, complete with unique mechanics and a starting deck, and is shaped by market-moving cards, perks, and events that drive wild price swings and runaway momentum. Your decisions push the market further, daring one more move and one more risk".

Game Highlights:
- Control the Stock Market: Every card directly affects a shared stock price that defines the run. Pushing prices higher opens new opportunities, but unchecked growth increases volatility and makes collapse more likely.
- Explosive Combos: Cards belong to distinct types, and playing multiple cards of the same type in a single turn triggers combo effects. Smart sequencing and deck construction can turn small hands into explosive plays.
- Winning Isn't Always Safe: Rising prices unlock stronger effects and bigger payouts, but they also make the market harder to control. Many runs end not because of bad luck, but because success was pushed too far.
- Characters That Shift the Rules: Each character starts with a unique deck and mechanics that reshape how risk, control, and volatility are approached from the very first turn.
- Chaos in Every Run: Events, perks, and one-time pills can dramatically alter a run mid-game, forcing players to adapt when their strategy stops working the way they expected.
- High Stakes Only: Optional difficulty modes tighten margins and increase penalties, rewarding players who understand when to slow down and when to let the market crash.
There's over 120 cards and 12 different card types to be unlocked and combined, enabling you to build strategies for your manipulation. Plus over 50 perks to boost your runs as well along with multiple difficulty options.
