A small but useful Steam Beta update has arrived and it's an especially good one for controller players that have rumble enabled.

Turns out somehow that rumbling of your controller was causing some added latency, which Valve have hopefully fixed up in the latest update. I use multiple different controllers quite a lot, so I'm happy to see issues like this be sorted. And for all the reports of Steam Achievement pictures vanishing, that should also be solved.

Patch notes for the February 10th Beta:

General

  • Fixed regression causing achievement images to not show.

Steam Input

  • Improved input latency while controller rumble is happening on third party controllers.

Remote Play

  • Fixed hover behavior when using a tablet stylus.
