Capcom recently announced that the brand new science fiction action-adventure PRAGMATA is actually going to release earlier than expected. Originally due out April 24th, they've moved the release date up to April 17th so you can get it a whole week earlier now.

At least from the early demo, it worked well enough with Proton so it will hopefully be another to work nicely day-1 on Linux.

There's also a new trailer:

More about the game:

In the near future. Several years have passed since humanity discovered lunum ore.

With it they researched Lunafilament, a material capable of replicating anything, as long as they have its data.

One day without warning, they lost all signals to the lunar research station dedicated to the research and development of this Lunafilament.

A response team was dispatched immediately. However, a massive lunar quake hit soon after they arrived.

Hugh Williams—separated from his team, unconscious and badly injured—is discovered by a mysterious android in the form of a young girl.

She is a Pragmata, created using Lunafilament.

Release Date: 17th April 2026

I really liked the demo, and really hope the release isn't borked/full of nasty surprises.

I really want to try and like this game, but I had SUCH a horrible technical experience with Dragons Dogma 2 I feel like I can't trust capcom anymore :(

For what it's worth, on my PC that's starting to show it's age, the demo ran flawlessly, whether it's about performances or (lack of) technical issues. I was pleasantly surprised.

But it's always prudent to wait a bit after releases with these.

It's Capcom, so, Denuvo encumbered, which is a shame, as this is another title I'd definitely buy otherwise.
