On top of the huge SteamOS 3.8 preview Valve put up recently, a smaller bug-fix release landed with SteamOS 3.8.1.
For the 3.8.1 Preview update, if you've seen WiFi issues on Steam Deck / SteamOS, this might finally be the one that can sort it. I've seen a lot of reports on it over the last year so it's nice to see Valve get working on it.

From the changelog:
- Fixed a case where WiFi performance could become degraded until the device was put to sleep or manually reconnected.
- Fixed excessive trackpad sensitivity on certain early Steam Deck LCD models.
That's on top of the many great new features and fixes already in the 3.8.0 Preview release that you can test right now. Opt into it via Settings > System > System Update Channel.
