The deep strategy RPG Heart of the Machine 1.0 is out now

From Hooded Horse and Arcen Games, the high-concept strategy RPG Heart of the Machine has now left Early Access for the big 1.0 release.

A game very much appropriate for the current AI madness era we're currently in. It sees you transcend time and space as the world’s first sentient AI. Heart of the Machine is a narrative-driven, sci-fi strategy adventure that's really like nothing else, as you would expect from the creators of AI War: Fleet Command.

You can do so much in it like raise an army of robots, weaponise bees and so much more to rule by force, become a benevolent machine overlord, or explore a constellation of alternative paths, including kicking off World War 4. It is quite complicated to get into but if you love deep strategy games that have endless hours this is for you.

The game's 1.0 release is marked by the introduction of a whole new ending, featuring four potential variants – whether you choose to let the corporations have their way, or slip in one last betrayal, this ending completes the planned narrative arc for the Heart of the Machine's full release.The developers have also announced plenty of ideas for content updates post-1.0.
