I definitely miss collecting boxes for all my games, it's a real missed feeling in the digital age and BOXROOM leans into that letting you build a game room. Not just any gaming room though, it gives you a home for all your actual Steam games. A pretty clever idea actually.
Due to release into Early Access later this Spring from Nested Loop Studios, they described it as "shelf-porn, basically" and that's quite an apt description I would say. Taking your actual Steam library, and letting you build up your room filled with cool game boxes to show it all off.

"I don’t know if you like to organise your games chronologically, by genre, or - if you’re some kind of maniac - alphabetically,” said Nested Loop's James Biddulph, “but BOXROOM doesn’t judge. If you miss the era of boxes, instruction manuals and burying your nose in a freshly bought game box for that euphoric plasticky hit, then I hope this scratches an itch."
There's a demo available on Steam, which if you play and then pick up the full game you'll get a special exclusive Lava Lamp. Since it will be in Early Access they'll be repeatedly adding extra content to build and add into your rooms, along with some "pretty nifty partnerships and easter eggs that will be making their way to the game before long".
