Skroyder Rumble is one I think you definitely need to keep an eye on if you like action brawlers, as the style and combat look great in it.

What exactly is it? Skroyder Rumble is a fast-paced 2.5D action brawler with roguelite-ish progression, chaotic-but-precise combat and massive boss fights. It gives you the chance to fully customize your fighter to whatever play-style you want to create tons of different combinations. What sets it apart from some other brawlers though isn't just the fun sounding customization, it's the world-building. With a cartoon world inspired by Brazilian culture, it also has quirky cinematic voiced cut-scenes.

I think it looks really unique!

In an email to GamingOnLinux, Bellona Studio CEO Braian Correa mentioned:

We thought you might like it because our studio adopted Linux as a base for our whole pipeline since the beginning, and we've been trying to prove it's possible not only launch a game with a native Linux build, but also develop the whole thing in it.

So far we've managed to make all parts of the process (production softwares, version control, game engine) work seamlessly between all our Linux and non-Linux users on the team, and it's been a fun challenge.

Perhaps we can show other developers that this is a very viable option, or at least incentivize more of them to develop games with a Linux build in mind from the beginning.

I don't really do that kind of fast-moving real-time game, but it looks neat. Cool about the Linux-oriented development too.

It looks interesting and fun, but I'm not sure if this game is for me.
