The most wishlisted game on Steam - Subnautica 2 gets an Early Access trailer, pre-purchase and pre-loads

Subnautica 2 is clearly going to be popular, with an announcement that it's hit 5 million wishlists ahead of the Early Access release on May 14. It's currently the most wishlisted game on Steam!

The developer has announced that pre-purchasing and pre-loads are live now too, if you fancy picking it up early. Writing about hitting 5 million wishlists, the developer noted they're celebrating with a small tweak - "From the moment Early Access launches, every player across every platform will receive the Reaper Leviathan Statue blueprint. Not just during the first week".

If you missed it - they also recently said it was good to go on the Steam Deck at launch too.

Subnautica 2 will enter Early Access on May 14th, 2026, at 08:00 PDT / 15:00 UTC for $29.99 USD.
