Power of Pride Bundle launches on itch.io

The itch.io store is hosting a new Power of Pride Bundle where you can get a mixture of video games, physical games, comics and more. In an email to GamingOnLinux, one of the representatives that organised it mentioned this is following in the footsteps of the original Queer Games Bundle, which disbanded so they're carrying the torch.

Some highlight notes:

• Contents include items such as digital games, physical games, zines, books, comics, ASMR, and even a book of song lyrics
• The bundle includes Erotic/NSFW entries in solidarity and support of creators who were impacted by censorship campaigns led by Collective Shout and payment processors

The Power of Pride Bundle is a grassroots mutual aid bundle that showcases indie media from hundreds of queer creators across the globe and provides them with direct financial aid. The sales event begins on June 1, 2026 and runs until July 6, 2026.

It’s no secret that the world is on fire, both metaphorically and literally, nor is it a secret that queer rights are under attack. Combined with the rise in global fascism, layoffs across multiple industries, and theft of labor by Large Language Models (popularly known as 'Generative AI'), just the simple act of survival has become an accomplishment in and of itself. This is even before we consider the ongoing pandemic, rise in fascism, growing climate issues, and continued genocide of the peoples of the South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA) regions. All of our struggles are connected, and we know who is responsible.

The constant push for AI in the workplace and personal life can only be seen as the pinnacle of late-stage capitalism, an effort to disempower individuals and make one reliant on corporations for all their needs. Infinite growth is a wet dream for shareholders and consumerism is the disease. Humans were not meant to work 2 or 3 jobs 24/7 just so that they can barely afford rent—we are meant to sing, dance, draw, mingle, play. The act of creation is our universal birthright!

Our mission is thus: to materially support the expression of queer human artists. This is why The Power of Pride Bundle Team is staunchly anti-AI and stands in solidarity with all the oppressed people of the world.

These times are uncertain, but at least one thing remains true: Every time a bundle is bought, a queer artist gets groceries.
