SiN Reloaded is a remastered experience of the 1998 shooter from Ritual Entertainment, with Nightdive Studios once again giving a classic a new life. In case you missed it - Nightdive Studios are also doing the upcoming Thief: The Dark Project Remastered.
More about it: set in a near-future dystopian world, SiN: Reloaded puts you in control of security consultant Colonel John R. Blade as you take on the seductively evil Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. When Elexis, CEO of SinTEK Industries, begins injecting the streets with a DNA-altering drug, it's time to reassess the laws of morality by facing off against Elexis’ unholy army of genetically-engineered mutants. Known for pushing the Quake II engine to its limits, the original SiN was lauded for introducing a groundbreaking amount of interactivity in every level. Players can hack their way into computer terminals using DOS-style code, use elevators and security cameras to wreak havoc, and traverse levels using a variety of vehicles, including a forklift, a patrol boat, and a helicopter. Your actions have consequences, creating branching paths as the game progresses.
Ahead of Steam Next Fest, a brand new demo has been made available and there's a new trailer:

Testing on Fedora KDE with Proton 11 and it appears to work really nicely:
There's no current release date for it.
It was 20 years ago, and radio silence since then.
(if this appears multiple times, sorry, my internet is spotty)
The original game used to be a favourite of mine when it was released and I really want to play it again. But this trailer looks way too dark and the new textures and models don't seem to make the slightest bit of difference in comparison to the original game. 🙁
Judging by the trailer, I wonder if this remaster is worth the money...
Quoting: neolithI am a bit underwhelmed TBH.You can change world and entity brightness separately in the remaster, as well as enable an accessibility option to increase entity contrast (it flattens the lighting they receive, making it closer to vanilla Quake 2 engine look). I find 300% entity brightness + contrast boost a must-have to easily spot enemies without the infrared goggles.

I agree they should probably bump the default brightness sliders to 125% for both still, possibly 150% even.
If anything, I wish more games had a separate entity brightness slider :)
