Like chilled-out games? How about incrementals where you keep upgrading through a vast tech-tree and get to clean up various location? Sludgineers is for you. There's a demo available with Linux support for Steam Next Fest and it is really weirdly satisfying.
It has a very simple idea - you go through various locations on your map, to suck up all the sludge using your ridiculously long vacuum. As you clean up you get money, and extra money drops when you uncover certain objects, which you then use in the upgrades menu to go through the tech tree to gather upgrades like: more battery power, more powerful suction, drones and much more.

Game Highlights:
- Fight grime and make it shine!
- Buy upgrades and high-tech tools!
- Transform pollution into profit!
- Cruise the countryside and complete quests!
- Localized into 14 Languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian.
The developer also recently revealed it's going to release on August 25th (although Steam tells me August 26th). See the latest trailer below:

Testing it on Fedora KDE 44 and it works perfectly out of the box. Just a nice little casual game to try.
release on August 25th (although Steam tells me August 26th)Perhaps a timezone thing? Shows the 25th for me, but I'm in the same timezone as the advertised date (Pacific). If they plan to release after 4pm, that would be the 26th for GMT folks.
Quoting: JarmerI tried this out on my Deck today, and MAN ITS SO GOOD. Highly highly highly recommend. Gives me bigtime Spilled vibes but I think even better. I'm going to head to bed and play there right now!Glad to hear it works well on the Steam Deck!
I have played a fair number of the demos featured in Next Fest. After playing Sludgineers, I am hooked. Can't wait for the full release. I have played a number of what could be called "Cleaning" games. The popular PowerWash Simulator series never really clicked with me, but I thoroughly enjoyed Spilled!.

this is now my #1 most anticipated on the deck. I finished the demo super fast, so I just hope there's a LOT more content in the main game and the demo was very limited. Spilled was AWESOME but there again I think I finished that entire thing in one sitting it was so short.
