AMD announce 'GPUOpen', open source tools like Nvidia's GameWorks
AMD are stepping up their open source game again, as they have announced GPUOpen to rival Nvidia's GameWorks.
- Zork I, Zork II and Zork III are now officially open source
- Valve put up a new Steam Linux Runtime 4.0 with a move towards 64-bit
- Playnite may get a Linux version during 2026 as the creator plans a move to Linux
- Steamworks SDK adds support for Linux Arm and Android, and it seems we know the first Android game on Steam
- Guild Wars Reforged announced to release in December and will be Steam Deck Verified
