Civilization V is already a pretty massive game, and now even more so thanks to the continued support from Aspyr Media. Civ V now supports mods thanks to Steam Workshop on Linux.

RimWorld is the surprisingly awesome colony building sim from Ludeon Studios and Tynan Sylvester, and it has a big new alpha. The new trailer isn't half bad too.

The game was made available for Linux shortly after arriving on Steam Early Access last year, but is now officially released and available on Steam, Humble Store and GOG.

The latest expansion to the popular grand strategy series has been released. With a plethora of changes and additions, it is one of the most comprehensive expansions for the game yet.

It seems that XCOM 2 has been announced after a teaser campaign by 2K. The AdventFuture.org website 2K brought online last week was now confirmed to be about XCOM and the reveal trailer was published. And best of all, there's a tiny little penguin and a certain feline as a mark of Linux support.

The Linux client had even been started and was looking good, but was dropped after the Windows and Mac OS clients were deemed too buggy. Now SteamOS has appeared in Amplitude's voting system for what to work on, and it needs votes.

You will have to forgive me on this one, as I never played a Cossacks game, but it is from the developers of STALKER. Cossacks 3 has been announced, and apparently Linux support too. Warning: Huge images!

Good news everyone! Civilization: Beyond Earth has announced an expansion called 'Rising Tide', and it will launch on Linux alongside Windows.

Planetary Annihilation is a great game, despite a few flaws here and there. It's my favourite strategy game on Linux, and the news is good.

If you’re a fan of 4X strategy games, then you will have probably heard of Master of Orion. Honestly, Master of Orion 2 is one of my all time favourite games, and now I can play it without any messing around on Linux.

Invisible, Inc. has snuck out the door and is now available on your favourite operating system. I’ve been looking forward to this for some time, so I took a look.

It's great to see bigger games coming to Linux like Empire: Total War, but having Linux only multiplayer does make the experience less fun. Feral Interactive are trying to fix this for us with a beta test.

The developers of Prison Architect have sent word out that their game will fully launch in "Q4 2015". They have been on a big bug squashing run recently too.
