Seven years is a long time! We have some celebrations due on the 5th of July! Games to play, games to give away and fun to be had.

Livestream
I will be doing a much longer than usual livestream, but it’s going to be a little bit different.

It’s quite possible my girlfriend will be making an appearance on the livestream to game with me in some local co-op games, so that could be rather hilarious, especially as she is a rather angry gamer! I may regret this…
If she isn’t around, it will continue as normal anyway, but I’m hoping to try something different to celebrate!

For any game that supports multiplayer, please do join in on the fun it would be fantastic to play with some community members. Remember the date: 5th of July, make a note of it and don’t miss out!

Follow GOL on twitch here to get notifications when we go live.

The livestream will start around 7:30-7:45PM UTC.

You can use Livestreamer if you don’t want to use a browser to watch it, just be sure to pop out the chat to stay involved!

Here is a list of games we will hopefully be playing (this list can change):
- Broforce
- Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition
- Enter the Gungeon
- GRID Autosport
- Outlast (hopefully making the girlfriend do this one!)
- Ballistic Overkill
- Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

The list of games may change, if there are issues encountered on the day.

Keys to give away
I have quite a number of keys to give away, some provided by developers, some by the community. Be sure to stick around in the livestream to get your hands on them.

Thanks for all the support over the years. Plenty of ups and downs, but mostly it has been a great time.

Hopefully I will be here dishing the news out for another seven years. Be sure to support me on Patreon if you like what I do.

It’s going to be a little exhausting, but hopefully fun for us to play and fun for you to watch. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Probably more direct than that, probably a mid-stream punch to the gut hah.

I'd love to participate. Too bad the only one of those I have is Grid Autosport (Broforce is on my Wishlist, but I'm done shopping for now). Any chance we can get some MP mayhem going on in BattleBlock Theater? For more players, I'd like to suggest War Thunder and TF2. In case you're in a cooperation mood (very Open Source-like, I might add), there's always Borderlands 2 and L4D2

If there is room to expand it we will, but I can't please everyone :).

Will do what I can to get people involved, all games in the list are popular games.

I'll join in Chivalry if you get round to playing it. That game was fun :D

Too early to congratulate (at least that's the custom in my country), but not too late for a recommendation, I hope:
Do play Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime with her! I got a s**tload of swearing from my girlfriend/wife with that one! :D

Oh god, I played with the AI on that one and it was bad enough, couls be a good contender for a replacement of Nuclear Throne which refuses to pick up any second gamepad.

Is there some secret to getting Livestreamer working? I tried it today with a random Twitch.tv stream just to see if it would work and it just gives me an error, even while I'm watching that exact stream in Opera at the same time:

$ livestreamer twitch.tv/catilena1890
[cli][info] Found matching plugin twitch for URL twitch.tv/catilena1890
error: No streams found on this URL: twitch.tv/catilena1890

I tried with all the permutations of "www" and "http://" I could think of at the beggining of the URL as well, same result, and closed the stream window in case it was messing with Livestreamer. Tried it with a few different streams, still no luck. I'm just confused why it couldn't pick up the stream when the browser could just fine.

Enter the Gungeon has replaced Nuclear Throne as the co-op mode in NT doesn't seem to work with no reply from the developer.
