GOL Asks: What have you been playing on Linux & SteamOS recently?

By - | Views: 47,544
It's time for another edition of "GOL Asks", and today I am asking about games you have been playing and loving or hating recently.

I will open up the floor to you, my lovely users to tell everyone what you have be doing. I haven't asked this question for a few months, so it will be interesting to see what people have moved onto.

Personally, I got a little bit sucked into Galak-Z recently, as you might have noticed by the article. I'm the worst pilot in the word, but I love it. I really need to do another Alien: Isolation livestream, but my god, there's not enough RUM in the world to make me do that ;) Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Dota2 (too much)
Pillars of Eternity (got to finish)
Broforce (great run 'n gun)
Got a lot of GOG.com games to finish (Witcher, Fallout1/2, etc)

I should stop buying games and play them instead.

I'm replaying Planescape Torment from GOG and as always my all time favourite Unreal World!
In the menu for later I have Serpent in the Staglands and Hard West just to make a break from RPGs :)

First: I finally managed to register here. Don't know why my Firefox didn't let me, but with Konqueror it worked.
So, hi, everyone.

Now, what have I been playing lately?

  • The Deponia trilogy. These three adventures are amazing! Some of the riddles are even challenging, the setting is beautiful (in its own way), the characters are lovable (mostly), the voice-acting is great (at least the German audio - no idea about the English translation) and the end is one of the best I've seen in games up to now. Seriously: Play it.
  • Years after buying it, I finally took the time to have a look at Civilization 5 (+Addons). Well, that was a horrible idea. In the end it wasn't I taking my time, it was Civ 5. Never been that tired at work, but "just ... one ... more ... turn ..." every night.
  • Yesterday I started to play the Banner Saga. A great story, beautiful art, challenging strategical battle, but still too buggy for my taste.
  • Armello is a nice game in case one has about an hour of time to waste.
  • Of course I've also found some time to play my all time favorite games, which are Dwarf Fortress and
  • Kerbal Space Program.
