The Sunday Gaming Section, Linux Gaming From Around The Web

Posted by , | Views: 4,518
Here is some Sunday reading for you from other gaming sites across the internet. Not much generally happens on a Sunday, so hopefully this will be a regular article.

Not directly gaming related, but OMGUbuntu ran a nice post giving a little run-down on how to use Steam's new Music Player.

LinuxGameCast has joined us in covering Wasteland 2. They threw the chairs at it and three of them stuck, so they join us in liking the game.

Phoronix took a look at the new Nvidia 980 and surprise surprise the card is an absolute fucking beast. Yes, the cursing was needed it's one hell of a card.

There's a post on the linux_gaming reddit bringing together Borderlands 2 issues, so might be worth a look.

RockPaperShotgun recently covered the latest update to space colony building sim Maia. Also if you wish to grab a Maia key from us be sure to visit our Patreon Article.

Also if anyone from the above sites, or anyone at all wishes to highlight their content/game/whatever on GamingOnLinux anytime in an article feel free to do so, you can submit articles to us directly or just email a tip to say an article is out.

What are you planning to play this fine Sunday? Article taken from

Defense Zone (a tower defence available on Steam) and maybe some Borderlands 2 now that someone explained to me how to play and beat the first boss.

today i dont plan to play much.. had a nice BL2 coop friday night ...also there was a steamLUG event about it but i had a friend with hes pc(also linux user) at my place.

made a quick BL2 FPS showcase also:

"PS! up to 10 fps loss when recording with SimpleScreenRecorder

to enable console to show fps:

~/.local/share/aspyr-media/borderlands 2/willowgame/config/willowinput.ini

change those lines like that:

save the file and go in to game, press tilde and type stat fps"

Linux Gaming looks more better every day. Now we need some bigger Racing and MMORPG games to have the most of the genres on our favourite platform.

Still playing Super Win the Game but I hope to get through it before Costume Quest 2 releases next week. I'm at the end of the game but I'm a bit stuck and I'm also missing 14 gems.

I also started playing chapter 2 of Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and like it so far.

I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing. Mine had a huge canon shooting at me, and enemies that re-spawned indefinitely (I hate that).
