No offense but why using this proprietary DRM-platform?

What? Did I really read correct? They fixed the bug for SpellForce (link? So I can install and use the game with no errors? Yeah, that's kind of good news. I LOVE WINE!

Because mass effect 3?

Quoting: throghNo offense but why using this proprietary DRM-platform?

Easily for games, in this case EA games (EA dont have any interest in drm free games)

Other companies repeat this case like Ubisoft (Another company dont have any interest in support drm free games, especially in games with online functions)

Resuming many people use DRM propietary plataform because this companies dont have any interest in DRM free scheme

^_^

@sobkas: Hrmpf, good answer at all. But for me I don't want to give EA any data, even if this is only some kind of email-address and username at all. So I'm foregoing "Mass Effect 3" and any other game with Origin in general. :P

That is the problem with this company! :( Some games are really nice but it seems better for EA to strifle trade with second hand games and licenses on this way. They even abused customers on thievery in the past years and that was the point for me never to use their newer games. The last one was Dead Space 2, which is working very well on wine.

Also a company forgetting about the loyal customers. Both done so wonderful games in the past and even got wonderful names like System Shock or Beyond Good & Evil.
