It's a weekend, the sun is shining in a rare event for where I live, so naturally I will be spending my time playing Linux games. What will you be playing this weekend?

Personally, I'm going to be jumping back into Rocket League. Between the intense gameplay and sweet music, it's certainly in my top 10 most played Linux games. As much as I love the game, I'm simply terrible at it. Anyone who's watched some of our livestreams will attest to that fact, but even so I soldier on and keep playing. It truly says something about a game, to keep pulling you back in even when you know you're probably go to have loss after loss.

It always amazes me seeing people drive along the roof of an arena, to then boost through the air with pin-point accuracy and smash the ball right into the goal. I still haven't been able to wrap my head around those sick aerial jumps.

As a reminder, Rocket League and others are available in the The Humble Hooked on Multiplayer 2018 Bundle. I will be looking to setup a few more GamingOnLinux tournaments soon!

After that, likely more Phoenix Point, as they did recently release the Linux version of the backer build! I'm already incredibly impressed with the level of detail and how it feels mechanically. It might blow XCOM 1/2 right out of the water, which for me is a pretty tall order because I absolutely adore both XCOM and XCOM 2. More on that in a future article once I can gather some thoughts on it.

Finally, more time eating people in MachiaVillain, will have thoughts up on that ASAP.

Over to you in the comments!

Urgh, nothing!
I'm spending the whole weekend trying to get GPU passthrough working so I can finally play wow with decent performance for once.

I might stop for a break with some Rocket League though.

I started a new farm in Stardew Valley 1.3 beta. I "cheated" a little on day 1 by bringing in 3 people to use their energy and parsnip seeds, and a little on day 2-4 to have one of them water the crops for me, but playing two or more characters at the same time is inconvenient because it doesn't autopause in inventory any more, and I am not able to play two at a time better than having one do nothing until I let the other do nothing.

Thinking about multiplayer with other people, but the host is the only one to keep the savegame so I don't want to play with total strangers.

Some Tomb Raider (2013) which i want to finally finish before starting the sequel. I didn't really get warm with the earlyer titles but i really do enjoy this one.

I'm also planning on some coop sessions of Dying Light on nightmare with a good friend of mine. He just upgraded his pc an needs to finish the main game first, then we'll probably take a look at "the following" dlc
Sad that this one does cause lots of trouble with mesa, even if it should be an easy task to support it by now.

I will keep playing my Throne of Bhaal(EE) playthrough. Having completed BG1 twice, BGII SoA twice, Siege of Dragon Spear once, IWD1 and 2 once, Throne of Bhaal and Planescape torment were the 2 Infinity Engine games i never got to play as a teenager. And it is time i fixed that mistake

Yeah, i never really liked the older Tomb Raider games even back in the day. I played a little Tomb Raider 1 and 2, but by 3 i had lost interest. But the rebooted series is seriously AWESOME, and very underrated in my opinion, especially Rise of the Tomb Raider which is one of the best games of the current gen but people seem to ignore it. Like Deus Ex Mankind Divided, another current gen gem that people don't pay attention to.

I picked up Mankind Divided last night but was disappointed with the performance, will probably end up uninstalling it tbh

I did pick up Mad Max at the same time, which I'm hoping will run better then Deus Ex: MD does
