If we are going to be posting random screenshots, here are my current Quake 3 statistics:
Over 4000 frags so far this install... god I love this game.
Isn't quake live the same?

There are some superficial changes, but for the most part it is the same game only converted to be an MMO. As I have said, if I had a better Internet I would probably be making a name from myself there. But for now I will stick with ioquake3 and picking on the bots.
Why have you written ioquake3, what's difference between normal quake3?
BTW where can i get Quake2 and Quake3 for free?

ioquake3 is just an updated version of the engine, so there is no change in the gameplay if you are using the original game data. I just said ioquake3 because that is what I happen to use as my engine base.
And while the source code for both Quake2 and Quake3 is freely available, the game media is not and still must be purchased. Due to the source code release however they are several Quake3 like free games about, the one that is the closest to traditional Quake3 being OpenArena. And of course there is also QuakeLive, which is free to play (though there is a premium subscription available that removes the advertising). As far as I am aware there are no free games like Quake2 though, which is a shame since I would like more single-player free software FPS games.
i would like to play too, i really want to play any single player games :(
BTW my internet speed is just 800kilobytes/sec and Quake Live plays brilliant, what's your internet speed (in bytes)?

Our man at id, Timothee Besset (who also happens to be the guy behind the Linux ports), programmed for the most part the QuakeLive networking interface so I am sure it is quite good. Problem is I have only two options for the internet: a satellite internet link and an overloaded dial-up modem. The modem is no good, I can barely load up this forum on it, and the satellite link is high latency so that makes it hard to run games on it. But the most damning thing about using the Satellite is if we go over a certain Bandwidth limit our ISP sticks us with extra charges. That is why I have given up for now on extravagant things such as YouTube, Flash, Internet games, or living.
:(
Can't you get normal ADSL, or something like this?

Due to the fact that I live on a farm I have to deal with rural ISP services, which makes ones choice in providers somewhat limited. We got the Satellite link after we tried to set up a more traditional high-speed setup only to find that it would not work due to fact that the signal was being blocked. We live on top of one of many large hills, and there is also an active coal mine nearby that produces quite large mounds of dirt (the sound travels quite well if you are outside at night, the sounds of heavy machinery), so those are likely the culprit. We are looking into another ISP that offers unlimited high-speed services at the moment, if we could get that it would be a dream, but that chances of it working are still not that high.
Attached my screen-shot of one of my favourites :)

I should really install my copy of Osmos again. I won it in the first LGN contest (thanks again Maxim!), but only played it for a little while, straight puzzle games were never really my cup of tea. I figure when we finally put Linux on the computer in our living room I will put it on there so my mother can play it so she can be playing more than just Frozen Bubble. She was most disappointed when she won the final level of FB. :P
It is me in Second Life, mostly on Corse GP in my Haru Kappler car. I have a retro avatar (second Life looks very good now, justs i choose soft avi I like hehe). My steed is very old! But is made in a low lag way so i can zoom around with him with dropping off on server lines :)
@Pyux the game looks gorgeous
thats second life on medium graphics. Looks much better on high or ultra :) also helps if your not using a retro avatar hehe ^^
Is Second Life actually any good?
I heard a lot of press about it when it was new, with loads of real life companies buying land in the game and after a while it just kind of died?
I tried it for a while, but I got bored pretty quick.
Second Lifes never dieds. It has a bigger playerbase than ever, and due to being a public company you can see the company that runs it is making more money than ever. It changes lots from year to year.
On getting bored there.... I think most people get bored because they dont know what to do there... Your not told 'go here and kill this monster' like other MMO's. There is arena combat areas and racing areas that I like, and roleplay areas and all sorts.
