Re: Game Screenshots

In my ongoing Quake 3 saga, I have just reached 6000 frags tonight. And at a frag average of 85% more than my opponents. I got 20 frags why the best any of the bots could manage was 3, so I think it may be time to graduate from Hurt Me Plenty... :)

Yeah, I remember hearing somewhere that 3D Realms generally tried to make their games WINE-able, not sure where I heard it or how trustworthy the source though. I will admit that Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project is one of the best WINE experiences I have ever had (so much so that I can refer to it as "pseudo-native"), alongside the original Elite Force game.

Not that I am advising wide-spread WINE usage... the way it leaves tasks lingering when a program crashes and you have to go to the system monitor to kill them is really beginning to piss me off...

Latest Purchase Minecraft (didn't understand the appeal of this one till i bought it)
Hamish 28 Jan 2011
What is the appeal of Minecraft then? Why is there all the hype?
Liam Dawe 28 Jan 2011
That is what i have been wandering, is there actually a point to it at all apart from building stuff?

Yeah i did not understand the hype, but i decided to buy it anyways as over 1 million people can't be wrong.
I found the game very addictive, probably because of the complexities of the environment and the intricacies of crafting can get more and more involved ([see logic gates](http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Redstone_circuits)). And its not finished yet so expect new stuff to be added all the time.

Hmmm! the point well there isn't one, i'ts open ended, the point being your own task you have set yourself. (currently i am building a glass tower that reaches the bottom of a lake, why? because i can.)
Bad creatures come out at night so you need a sanctuary built in the first day, see video below for survival of first day.
