[FIXED] No VPN will connect
Liam Dawe Apr 12, 2017
So I'm not sure what's up here, but no VPN I try will connect.

I switched from PIA to Nord and still the same. Here's what happens when I try on Nord:

I'd suggest using UDP if you can. VPN over TCP doesn't work quite as good, also posting your config could help. The log suggests the provider just disconnects you with an explicit connection reset so there's not much to be done on your side. You can increase the log verbosity with "verb" parameter, maybe there's something else.

Well I switched VPN to https://www.expressvpn.com and their manual setup was painless and it works now :)

Good for you! I use https://airvpn.org/ for quite a while and it seems less expensive. Love their transparency also. Chose them because of Bitcoin support (back then I could mine on CPU and pay for the service with just that), there were pretty few of providers that accepted BTC. And yes, using internet without VPN sounds like a bad idea these days.

usually I use proxy instead of vpn

Also you can try fineproxy. It's the reliable proxy server with many IP addresses. So you can change locations and surf the forum anonymous or play games that are not accessible for your region. You don't have to worry about the speed or traffic. Everything is at a high level.

Another vote for airvpn - I've done a manual setup on my router, but their client is as close to idiot proof as you can

edit: just noticed that this thread is a year old ... how do people even find these?
