Dungeons 2 - complete system freeze
razing32 Jun 11, 2017
Had a real odd issue with Dunngeons 2
Got to the Blood Red Wedding mission , played a bit , and it just died on me.
Sound was stuck in a loop , screen image was frozen.
Could not even get to the TTY lines.
Nothing worked short of a hard reboot.

Did not expect this to happen on Linux. This DID happen to me on Windows , several times before , but never on Linux.
I did not try to SSH to my box to see if there was something I could do though.

Any advice ?
Does this game freeze for anyone else ?

Tried turning off and on again?

I did - via power button no less.
It did work , but I would not expect a full system freeze like this.
Really curios what the hell could cause that.

I had some freezes recently. I think it has to do with kernel. The same I believe for you, Dungeons2 was just a coincidence. My freezes seems they where related with 4.10 kernel. Before I had never a freeze like that. Using 4.9 kernel again I had also no freeze. Now I am on kernel 4.11 and I have no recent freeze so I am crossing fingers... ( I still have 4.9 kernel installed as linux-lts)
