I've gotten friends and family to pick up the individual games from Humble Bundle over the years.
I got these to work with MAME but unfortunately the Linux versions HB has released are still superior because of the way the control pads are handled.
I know that MAME has a way to lock down the controllers but every attempt I've made at making this happen has failed. Every now and then I have to reprogram the controllers and that makes MAME too much of a hassle for me to use, especially for BBQ, Lunch time gaming with co-worker or other mobile gaming events where things need to be quick and consistent.
Can anyone help me get MAME to lock down my controllers? Or is the Linux native HB versions just the way to go.
I am interested in MAME since I can do the scan lines and stretch screen with the game moves sticker on the borders.
