I'm running Kubuntu 17.10, Nvidia Geforce 840m with 384.90 drivers..
when I try to launch Garry's Mod (from Steam) I get the blue loading screen and a crash right after that. lot of googling left me to see I am not only one, but also I didn't find a solution for the problem.
I installed the game on my daughters laptop with intel graphics chip and Xubuntu LTS on it, game launched just fine.. so I'm guessing it's either nvidia, or the later ubuntu...
anyone here suffering from this, or been able to fix it?
