Like I said, I'd like to. I don't see me really getting time to give it any real attention before the end of the month. Hope it goes well.
Liam Dawe 8 Jun 2013
Added a First Look category for anyone wanting to review/video/screenshot games before they go "stable" or "gold".

Also anything related to the new design please keep to the new design topic getting hard splitting the convo between two topics.
Hamish 9 Jun 2013
Poked around for a little bit - only problem I noticed was that some of the sales listed on the front page were listed as being from "Desura1".
Liam Dawe 9 Jun 2013
That's not a bug, tested editing of the names...it works ;)

As I also said above, new design discussion...there is a topic for that can we not split it across two topics?
Liam Dawe 17 Jun 2013
All editors make sure you read the Editors section in the new website article I did. Specifically the second point:
http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/welcome-to-the-new-site-for-golcom-see-inside-for-details.2083

Remember though this topic is for editors chat if you have issue with the new design post in the new design thread!

Have enabled the email bbcode as a recent article had it in so it could be useful.

We also now strip out [justify] bbcode as we just don't use it and articles sometimes got submitted with them all over the place (must be from another editor and they are pasting into ours).
Liam Dawe 27 Jun 2013
I adjusted list bbcode to not have a great big gap above it.

Setting an article to inactive will no longer make it show up as a submitted article needing approving - OOPS.

Added a link in the "Manage Articles" section to list inactive articles, also improved the look of that manage articles page.
Liam Dawe 29 Jun 2013
Fixed up the preview function for article submissions thanks to sobkas reporting.

Added an Edit button to the Manage Articles admin section to make it less useless (styling still needs sorting, ongoing work).

Pagination minor change - when on last page, last page number is no longer a link, just fits better.

When commenting on an article as a guest (not logged in) if you fail the captcha it won't delete your comment anymore.

Fixed more issues with the submit article page, should all be fine now.

After logging in it won't hard redirect you to the index.php, it will send you back to the page you where on!

Also fixed topic titles on forum topics being blank when going to edit it if the topic title had quotes in it.

Hooray! This is a thing that particularly buggered me, yet I never bothered to ask for a fix... :P

It bugged me too!

Also new adjustment as discussed before in IRC - Bio box only shows up on articles for editors and admins :), looks more professional.

Could we also have it not return us to the top of the article page when listing through comments? Instead jump to the start of the comment section.

Done.

Thanks! That was the second thing that bugged me the most... :D
Liam Dawe 7 Jul 2013
Remember if things bug you, tell me, I leave things I don't feel are a priority for last. If it bugs people it's a priority.

Added supporter badges to profile for people who have donated for ad-free.

Will be revamping our premium gol supporter thing soon.

Glad to see another badge or two these days!  Doesn't seem like they appear here, in the forums (nor the Editor badges).  It would be nice to see them, though.

Hey, is this thread still basically just for website debugging stuff, or is it still open to other discussion (i.e., article ideas, regular features, etc.)?
Liam Dawe 9 Jul 2013
For anything editor related it can be in here, for all other odds and ends make a new topic :)

Badges on forums are planned and will be in soooooon!

No probs - I'd misinterpreted something earlier as saying that it'd be preferred if there weren't any bugs reported here. I know for next time ^_^
