not much, depending what game and which CPU you are comparing with?
more cores will make difference with wine, specially on games that require 4 cores and then having free cores for wine stuff also. ofc frequency is important but nowadays not that critically, unless you have AMD FX cpu which just sucks with IPC

It will help with CPU bound games, these are typically MMOs / Online games. For single player it won't do much I'm afraid. Still nice you got it so fast :)

Btw, You'll need a lot of disinfectant to remove the Windows stain off that system :D

Not much if your game is GPU bound (which is the case for modern properly designed games). I.e. depends on the game.

yeah pretty much, he has GTX 1050 it seems, so unless he runs some really low resolution, he will hit the GPU bottleneck before. The difference he might get is the pentium with 2 cores he had before. If he is using wine specially, now he has 4 core cpu so theres more room for wineserver when a game doesn't consume all.

but for example GTA V in wine will consume 4 cores itself already and then wineserver needs some also.

wineserver is single threaded yes, so lets say game likes 4 cores, wineserver makes it +1 and then +1 for all the rest of native processes, input, sound all the other background applications that are running on your system.

Basically gaming in wine is always +1 core compared to windows, cause of said wineserver.. thats with dxvk. with regular wined3d theres +2 because CSMT also pushes rendering to another thread so add +2. You wont have really good time with 2 core cpu in those situations. Ofc with quite a low end GPU like 1050, you will most likely hit the GPU bottleneck first at least with the case of dxvk or pba patched wine.

*Depend of how much % cpu use but in various cases works ok, however in others is bad

Wine still have non sane dependency of frecuency and single thread
