Can't connect to Racenet either. Just get "The Racenet service is not available. Please try again later" every time i try to enter Leagues or Online events. Been looking for a cause but have not been able to find anything yet so will probably miss this event.

First post updated. Sad to see racenet login problems :(

I didnt have any issues this time but i have had it once in the past. The league website has been down several times but usually times have been still uploaded.

Was pretty clean for me. No real mistakes. I am enjoying the Mitsubishi, fantastic car to drive in the game.

Oh here is a pic of my rig as was requested a while ago. Wheel is a Logitech G920.

Wow Skully. The safety harness seems a bit unnecessary, but I like the rest. :D

It would be fine if the website was down for a bit, but the game not connecting and not letting me play online for two days is a bigger problem. The site was working just fine.
I also couldn't connect to racenet for any league/online play - I'd done the first three stages earlier in the week, but it wouldn't let me connect when I tried to finish yesterday. It's still giving me the "Racenet is not available" today. Is it definitely a Codemasters problem, or is there perhaps something wrong at my end?

Seeing as both Soltrumman and I have the same problem as well, I don't see how it could be at your end. Maybe the problem only affects the Nordic region? I'm in (northern) Finland, and Soltrumman's name sounds Swedish to me. How about you?

In any case, I'm 99% sure it's something Codemasters needs to fix in either the game or their server backend. Could be a routing problem of some sort if it's region-specific. Or maybe the servers are geographically far off and we're hitting a timeout due to latencies. Who knows.
I'm in the UK, so it's certainly not just Scandinavia (but could be Western/Northern Europe?). Other thing is judging by our "OS icons" next to our names, Soltrumman and me are on Ubuntu, you're on Mint - not sure if Mint still shares repos with Ubuntu, but has something perhaps updated in a repo which has stopped it working? I had a Steam Update the other day, though it doesn't seem to be affecting anything else badly.

I agree it's most likely a Codemasters problem that needs fixing, but I've not seen anyone else mention it on the Steam Forum, so I've just put a post on there in the Tech Support bit, so we'll see if that results in anything useful. Otherwise I guess we wait :(

I also have the problem and I am in Greece. I use Manjaro, I do not believe that the distribution has anything to do with it.

Yeah harness is really dumb. Never used it lol. It is bolted to the frame though, so it stays until I need to disassemble it.

Just received an email from Feral that the issue with Racenet has finally been resolved. About time.

Germany done. Still not a fan of tarmac. Managed to do mostly clean, but those cars are pretty slow and boring. had one spin and segfault at the end of the stage 5, second time doing stage 5 was worse cause i made a mistake there..but yeah..not my favorite event anyway.

Summary:
S1: Clean
S2: Clean
S3: Clean
S4: Spin
S5: Crash into stones, reverse needed
S6: Clean
Skully 19 Aug 2018
@Xpander Wow that was a close one. In the end you beat me by .5 of a sec.

I had a clean run except on stage 2, I ran wide and got stuck for about 8 secs on something.

That was amazingly close indeed. My mistakes cost me about 10 seconds in total max, maybe a bit less even. The reversing one took most of the time, spin wasnt too bad as i just overshot one corner and spinned a bit, took me maybe 3 sec.

anyway, first post updated

I finallly managed to finish a couple stages without any major mistake! Sadly, the others were not so perfect... I'll get there :p

I wanted to complete an event for once... Maybe I shouldn't have. I was doing okayish for the first three stages. I shall do my best to forget the rest. The last one was pure agony.
Xpander 26 Aug 2018
Managed to find time to do that also, didnt have much time to deal with setup and it was pretty bad.

Summary:

S1: Trip into the fields at hairpin
S2: Crash into the stones
S3: Clean, had a puncture at the last split from touching the stone
S4: Roll and crash into the stones
S5: Clean
S6: Crash into the bushes that spinned the car around, reverse was needed

I might have murdered a Welsh spectator or three, on more than one stage. Not a brilliant run, but it'll have to do. It really shows that I've stopped doing the dailies (so many games to play!).

Completed also (almost forgot that theres event running). Overall pretty good, got the setup pretty spot on. Had few mistakes though.

Summary:
S1: Clean
S2: Clean
S3: Clean
S4: Roll and crash into the trees
S5: Clean
S6: Trip into the fields

too bad i missed Monaco. Skully is the winner of this season if my calculations are correct
Skully 2 Sep 2018
@Xpander You missed Monaco and I only win by 2 points. I am happy to say that really you won.
What cars we going to drive now?
Xpander 3 Sep 2018
I was thinking 2001 group maybe?
