I now support Linux Mint with 3$ per month instead of the irregular donations.
The revenue that Linux Mint generates there is used to support their upstream developers. So today they announced to support Tony George (aka teejeetech) with Patreon as well:

Tony George writes in his spare time Linux software. Projects like Timeshift (Restore & Recovery Tool), Ukuu (Kernel Update Tool) or Selene (Up to date Audio/Video Converter) were written and are maintained by him.
I think it's a cool thing. Because I support my preferred Linux distribution, the developers who develop for Linux Mint are also supported. Nice! :)
