Paradox just announced Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Yes, the long awaited sequel to Bloodlines which many were waiting for since Paradox bought White Wolf.

The game will be developed by Hardsuit Labs studio, which I'm not familiar with. Paradox are generally Linux friendly, so may be they'll release it for Linux too? So far good news is that they plan to release it DRM-free on GOG.

I opened a thread on Paradox forum to ask for Linux release:

Feel free to comment there and tell them that you are interested.

I added it to my wishlist on Steam. That is another way to tell them we want a Linux version: https://store.steampowered.com/app/532790/
I prefered the DRM-free version as well.

No info yet on if Linux will be supported, I've not been told anything either and I usually do when Paradox has announcements.

I almost fainted when I saw that. This is my #1 wish for a sequel, and have been so for years. Really, there's not a single game in existence I'd rather have a sequel to.

But it's quite the task. It's years and years old of rose tinted memories to fulfil. They better not screw this up!

Oh my God! I need this game badly!

Guess I should get on beating the first one! I really enjoyed what I'd played of it, and saw an email today (that was sent out last night (sorry, getting Mac emulation working on my Amiga distracted me)). My first thought was "Paradox? Linux version?" Here's hoping!

Honestly, for VtMB I'll settle for a silver rating on protondb :)

I only played a bit of the first one back in the day, never owned it myself, but I liked it. I'm definitely interested if this sequel comes out on Linux. Otherwise I'll skip as usual.

The first one was a buggy mess when it relased but captured a unique setting and atmosphere.
The fact that fans are still releasing patches to THIS day shows how much of a cult following it garnered.
Hope the second one takes all that into account and comes to linux as well.

Can anyone with Twitter account please ping developers if they have any thought on Linux release?

Try these:

https://twitter.com/HardsuitLabs

They also have a discord channel: https://discordapp.com/invite/bloodlines2

I'm not using that either, so can't ask :)

Quoting: callciferHonestly, for VtMB I'll settle for a silver rating on protondb :)

It's one of the games I wouldn't mind playing in Wine, even if Linux version will never materialize.
