Doom Remake 4
robvv May 8, 2019
Hi all,

Whilst a Windows EXE is available for download, I have got this remake/reskin working with the Linux gzdoom binaries.

I rolled my own gzdoom on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, added the official WADs and fired up the game using ./gzdoom -file res/doom_remake_4.pk3

I've only played E1M1 so far but everything seems to work like a charm :-)

Very nice indeed. Brought back exactly the same sensations I experienced when playing the original game. Liking the fact that the levels are subtly different but pay homage to the originals, i.e. Dark areas, secrets. The soundtrack is also similar to the original but not identical. The weapons sound is great. The moaning of the monsters behind the walls. I've played the first 3 levels of episode 1 on Ultra-Violence setting.
